The Liss Angus Herd can be found nestled in the hills of North Meath, overlooked by the historic Loughcrew
Cairns.
We have been breeding Angus cattle here at Liss for over 60 years with emphasis on: low birth weights,
correctness, locomotion, good maternal instincts, ease of fleshing and docility. These fundamental
breeding requirements underpin our breeding strategy, which ultimately aims to meet the economic
requirements of the customer and the market.
The herd today consists of approximately: 70 Purebred Aberdeen Angus Cows,
30 Blue Grey Angus Cross cows,
and 70 Texel/Suffolk Cross sheep.
